Whoever wants to know more about the current state of French Protestantism should notice: a big Conference will be organized in Paris in 2010, from November, the 18th, to November the 20th.
The conference's title is : "French Protestantism : A restructured family". This conference is impulsed by the Protestant Federation of France (FPF).
Professor Jean-Paul Willaime and myself are in charge of the conference.
The first aim of this scholarly conference is to provide an inventory of today's new forces of French protestantism (how many worshippers? How many pastors? How many associations? etc.), taking into account the very large impact of Evangelical Christianity and immigrant churches.
This large conference would also like to renew the analysis on French Protestantism's impact on society, and to question the relationship between Protestantism and Secularism.
A program is already available here: French Protestants Conference Program (2010)
